Linda Plover

Linda joined Parasol in 2021 as producer, where she oversees the output of the collective. In her role, she helps coordinate each project.

Linda began her career in the media industry working in radio production for the BBC for a number of years in Lincoln and Nottingham before moving onto services at BBC Pebble Mill in Birmingham.

With a passion for music, she moved to Ireland in 2002 to study music where she gained a Bachelor of Music Honours degree at University College Cork. A multi-instrumentalist, she sings, plays bodhrán, tin whistle and guitar. Releasing two singles with alternative indie folk outfit Chunky Planet in the early noughties, she has more recently performed as a spoken word artist with Wasps vs Humans.

In 2010, Linda co-founded and set up Blue Monkey PR (BMPR), a Cork based PR agency for the music and arts industry in Ireland. The company managed campaigns of varying sizes from promoting releases and artist management for both emerging and established recording artists to large scale music events including the Live at the Marquee series for Dublin based promoters Aiken Promotions, the Bulmers Live at Leopardstown series, Indiependence Festival in Mitchelstown and the music industry event, Music Cork. The company also worked with several Cork institutions including Cork Opera House, UCC School of Music & Theatre, Cork Orchestral Society and Cork City Council’s Department of the Arts for the 2016 Commemorative year.

Alongside her PR work, Linda became involved with independent theatre ensemble, Burning Paper Productions in 2014. As well as a performing member and writer, she also produced a number of plays that were taken across Ireland and the UK.
